In Home Basic+ Training
For Individuals and/or the whole family; This one on one training will cover all the basics in addition to any individual specific behaviors needing to be addressed. From jumping to pulling, off leash training and recall. Sit, greeting people, waiting at the door, stay, down, off, leave it and drop it. Whatever it make be, I help all stages and all ages. In addition to the hands on training you and or your family will receive, you will also develop an understanding of how, why and what drives your dog, what makes him/her react and do what he or she does, thus making you a respectable leader and owner.
High Anxiety Treatment and Training - all to common
Dogs are shaped by their perception, edifying moments of new places and things, social encounters. Our reaction and handling, the energy we give off , body language and tone play a major role in shaping that perception of the world around them and us- the owner/handler. Additionally they react in various ways to fear and OR anxiety- again based on their perception. It is a stressful state of mind and can lead to other undesired behaviors when not addressed or handled correctly. The important thing is to get to the root cause of the behavior and address it full spectrum. Medication will aid in some relief but will not bring the dog true relief and certainly won't fix the underlying issue. Dog behavior and behavior modification is one of my specialties. Handler/owner training is key and is the first step to rehabilitation for the dog. We offer everything from the proper training for both the owner/family and the pet in addition to a more holistic approach with properly prescribed essential oils.

Our 2 week Board+Train homestyle- "home away from home" training program is truly unlike any other. Filled with cognitive stimulation, building socialization skills (with humans and dogs) and a respect for canines individual learning styles, we cultivate awareness, focus, fluid obedient structure from the inside out, developing internally motivated pets. (not treat driven).
- Your pet will be covering the entire AKC CGC behavior standards list (learn more about the CGC at the bottom of this page) When the two week training is complete you'll have the option for you and your pet to test and earn his or her CGC title! To test, the pet must be least 6 months, for younger pups you may return when the pup is of age and test (again this is optional-no additional cost)! Essentially your pet finishes up with his CGC title and a blue ribbon award.

All lessons are rooted in solid "handler" (owner) training- meaning we believe in educating and training the OWNERS so that you'll be a confident owner-handler before and after your pet completes the 2 week training. He or she will be fully introduced to off leash train/commands, attentive to your guidance and responsive to recall. Your pet will also benefit from the many outings to local venues, nature hikes, parks, pet friendly restaurants, and pet friendly stores, further developing socially, learning how to interact and meet others with respect and etiquette.

Each program is design uniquely to your pets individually learning style (not one size fits all curricula), because just like you and I, each dog learns according to who he or she is- "cookie cut" dog training curriculum can be discouraging and lacking physiologically to a given dog when "pushed through". Because of our genuine interest in each pet as an individual and our experience, we engage the pet on a level that he is responsive to and eager to participate in- this yields a happily trained canine, excited to please, a companion who's training last a life time. Again this program is completely tailored to your pets learning style and your individual/family expectations.

INCLUDED are 4 lessons for owner/family handling-training. When your pet has finished up, we will meet at a location full of distractions and curious interactions. Your pet will not only show off his or her new skills, but you'll both enjoy a lesson together. Individuals and/or families will be part of an hour long training lesson coving everything you need to know, from cues, commands, handling, interactions with surrounds and more. The following day you'll receive another hour long lesson IN-home. To summarize; Families and the pet will have had an hour lesson outside of the home and an hour lesson inside the home. Furthermore you'll have 1 hour long lesson to use anytime throughout the duration of your furry companions life.

LIFELONG SUPPORT! After training is complete for both the family and pet- for the rest of the dogs life you can call, text, video chat or come by for support and guidance through all stages and phases as laid out and explained in our pet training guarantee.
Book ahead- we only tend 7-10 Board and Train guests at a time. I do allow pre booking. For example some families plan a family vacation in line with board and train. We are a dedicated team, each dog is given undivided, individual, stress free attention, care, play time and training. He/she will be in a group with other guests for socialization, play and to strengthen obedience while distracted, AND will have their individual one on one training sessions in-doors and outdoors from fields, to parks, to venues and stores. Updates, photos and video will be taken along the way.
For pets that are here for specific training needs, nervousness, or for specific behavior modification/training needs a fully customized plan with applicable training methods are used ensuring the pets experience is fun, effective, motivating and nurturing to his/her individual needs. For these type of pets- owners are permitted a 24/7 hour check in via text message. (respectably)
If you're someone who has looked online for guidance at videos on dog training only to get confused, curious or silly; don't feel discouraged, we hear this often. There are many great videos out there and amazing trainers- however you have to know your pets learning style. Its nothing you need to over think. We have many podcasts and videos from trainers everywhere we can reccomnd if that's your path. When surfing YouTube and coming up on the ocean of methods, these are the primary issues with that; 1.) Most (not all) trainers use a "cookie cut" curriculum, sticking to one single method and thats its, with no insight or consideration as to how that individual dog learns they allow owners to watch under the assumption that it's either the only way or the best way- no foundation before hand. Leaving some feeling as though they've done something wrong or their pet is defiant. Although it may very well be a great method, however, just like you and I, and just like kids in school, we all learn differently. Each dog has his or her own individual learning style. Through our lessons (included in board and train) you will learn how your dog learns and exactly what methods to apply and when. 2.) Many trainers leave out the importance of instinctual cues, such as; the handlers tone of voice, body language, mirroring energy levels, eye contact and other cues that our companions are reading from us and others arounds us. This is why in all our lessons we always recap and cover handler training.

The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy
is an exciting program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start.
How It Works
The AKC requires you complete 6 class. As an AKC evaluator I have developed a program to meet and exceed the the guidelines. Starting with and built around the requirements you and your puppy will complete basic training and adequate socialization while working toward individual expectations. In addition to that you'll learn about potty training, crate training, teething, chewing and advance techniques in proper cognitive, psychological and social development for the puppy. The first 2 lessons are done in home to go over ownership, introduce respectable leadership, learn basic concepts and shape good behavior. Smart and safe socialization is encouraged as an activity and part of daily life for the puppy. The next 2 lessons are in public places, to apply learnt concepts, socialize and introduce distractions, sights and sounds. Next lesson is focused on areas that need improvement (if needed), advances techniques, and a recap. The final lesson is complete evaluation and display of mastery of requirements. Owner training- working on responsiveness, handling, shaping and more- and finally the official Puppy Star Test. You'll receive a certificate of completion issued by Pack Pride Academy LLC in addition to the following;
As your instructor- after the 6 classes have been complete I will then administer the AKC S.T.A.R.®Puppy test at the end of the course. Upon passing the test, you’ll get an application to send to AKC® for enrollment in the AKC S.T.A.R.® Puppy Program. All dogs are welcome to participate in the AKC S.T.A.R.®Puppy Program including purebreds and mixed breeds.
Your puppy will receive the AKC S.T.A.R.®Puppy Medal (for display or memento purposes; not suitable as a collar tag). You and your puppy will be listed in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy records. In addition, so that you can continue learning, you’ll receive our AKC S.T.A.R. ® Puppy package that includes:

Canine Good Citizen
Many dog owners choose CGC as their first step in training their dogs. It also provides a great foundation for getting started in any specialty. This title is offered to ALL BREEDS including mix breeds.
The CGC program offers many practical advantages too. The CGC award is a prerequisite for many therapy dog groups. Some homeowner’s insurance companies encourage CGC testing, and an increasing number of apartments and condos require that resident dogs pass the CGC test. The tagline of the CGC program is, “Responsible Owners, Well-Mannered Dogs,” and that is what CGC is all about.
The Canine Good Citizen Test
The heart of the CGC program is the 10-step Canine Good Citizen test. At the beginning of the CGC test, handlers sign the Responsible Dog Owner’s Pledge before taking their dogs through the 10 step test with an AKC Approved CGC Evaluator.
